Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Terms of Service (the "Agreement") between you and Prediction Lab, LLC ("Prediction Lab," "we," "us," or "our") and describes prohibited activities when using the Services.
This AUP applies to all users of the Services. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. General Principles
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not violate applicable law, infringe others' rights, harm the Services or other users, or conflict with the intended purpose of the Services.
You are responsible for all activities through your account and for ensuring your users comply with this AUP.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Services to store, transmit, or process content that:
2.1 Illegal Content. Violates applicable law, infringes intellectual property rights, or violates contractual obligations.
2.2 Harmful Content. Contains malware or malicious code, promotes violence or terrorism, contains child sexual abuse material, constitutes harassment or threats, or promotes discrimination.
2.3 Deceptive Content. Is fraudulent or misleading, constitutes phishing, or impersonates persons or entities.
2.4 Privacy-Violating Content. Violates privacy rights or contains personal information collected without appropriate consent.
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not engage in:
3.1 Security Violations. Unauthorized vulnerability testing, circumventing security features, gaining unauthorized access to systems or data, or deploying denial-of-service attacks.
3.2 System Abuse. Exceeding usage limits, using unauthorized automated means to access Services, overloading infrastructure, or interfering with other users' use.
3.3 Unauthorized Access and Use. Sharing, selling, or sublicensing access without authorization; using others' credentials; creating accounts to circumvent restrictions; or reverse engineering (except where law prohibits this restriction).
3.4 Fraudulent Activities. Defrauding us or others, submitting false information, or using stolen payment credentials.
4. Data Requirements
4.1 Your Data. You must have all necessary rights and permissions for data you upload and must comply with applicable data protection laws.
4.2 Prohibited Data Types. You may not submit without prior written agreement: payment card data (PCI-DSS), Protected Health Information (HIPAA) without a Business Associate Agreement, government identification numbers in bulk, biometric data subject to BIPA or similar laws, or export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR).
4.3 Model and Output Use. You must not use Services or outputs to make automated decisions with legal or significant effects without appropriate safeguards and human oversight, or to develop models for unlawful purposes.
5. Industry Requirements
If you operate in regulated industries such as insurance or financial services, you must comply with all applicable regulations, maintain required records, not use Services in violation of fair lending or discrimination laws, and ensure models do not rely on prohibited factors.
6. High Risk Activities
6.1 Prohibition. The Services are not designed for High Risk Activities.
6.2 Definition. "High Risk Activities" means activities where use or failure could lead to death, personal injury, or environmental damage, including: aircraft operation or control, life support or medical devices, nuclear facility operation, weapons systems, power grid control, emergency 911 systems, or critical utility infrastructure.
7. API Usage
Use APIs per documentation, include proper authentication, respect rate limits, and do not circumvent restrictions.
8. Reporting Violations
Report violations to abuse@predictionlab.ai with: description of violation, date and time if known, relevant evidence, and your contact information.
9. Enforcement
9.1 Our Rights. We may investigate suspected violations and take action including: warning you, suspending access, terminating your account, removing violating content, and reporting to law enforcement.
9.2 Suspension. We may suspend access immediately without notice if we reasonably believe you violated this AUP, your use poses a security risk, or suspension is required by law. We will provide notice as soon as reasonably practicable.
9.3 Termination. Material violations may result in immediate account termination without warning or refund.
10. Your Responsibilities
You agree to: ensure all users comply with this AUP, promptly address user violations, cooperate with investigations, and maintain accurate contact information.
11. Changes
We may modify this AUP by posting the revised version on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
